While I don’t sew many clothes from scratch, I do LOVE to modify clothing, most especially denim. This all started because I have two growing kids and it was cheaper to make that pair of jeans last until the end of the school year, or make my daughter’s favorite shorts decently long enough to last another summer, or tuck in the waist of that pair of pants that fit everywhere else. There is nothing that makes me happier than bringing new life to an old pair of jeans with an appliqué, a ruffle or making them into a cute pair of bellbottoms.
